The mall incorporates leisure, entertainment and shopping for a fun filled day out. Choose from skiing at Ski Dubai on the indoor slopes, going to one of the 14 cinema screens to watch a movie or going to the theatre. There are many restaurants and bars to stop for a bite to eat or drink and then of course there are over 450 retail shops including Harvey Nichols and Debenhams and then the less western stores that offer local appreciations.

Marquee is one club not to be missed if you’re a fan of the hip hop and rock n roll party scene. Popular with the New York natives and the famous models, singers and actors the club has seen some great press. Not just for the glamorous guests but for the glamorous venue too. Two stylish main rooms with small dancing areas, plenty of modern black leather sofas and two huge bars Marquee is one club not too be missed and is located just around the corner from Bungalow 8 in the Chelsea neighbourhood.

The restaurant and lounge I speak of is a revolving restaurant on top of the hotel with 360 degree spectacular views of the city. Enjoy a buffet service with as much as you can eat be it salad, meat or dessert and an extensive drinks menu. Smart décor and floor to ceiling windows make this a restaurant hotspot but a word to those who suffer from sickness; although the restaurant spins slowly it can be a little nauseating.

Before I took a trip to New York City in the summer I did my research. This is where I learnt of Baby Cakes. Glamour magazine had produced a guide to New York in light of the release of The Devil Wears Prada. I can happily write all good things I heard were true. The cupcakes were delightful and at $3 per cake, I was smiling. So if you happen to be visiting NYC soon pay the bakery a visit and try the vanilla and red velvet cupcakes, they are delectable!

Sinatra’s bar is quite a tourist attraction in itself, well known as a celebrity haunt. The week I visited I was informed that Jennifer Aniston, Girls Aloud and Gareth Gates were there the previous week (disappointing I know). The bar is situated on the front port in Puerto Banus, on the very busy strip with plenty of restaurants and bars to compliment it. Although it is small the elite crowd tend to spill onto the road and I’m told at weekends cars simply cannot drive on the road. The décor is simple and sleek and the drinks menu has a variety from beers to cocktails to champagne. Expect to pay London prices or maybe a little less.
